Default KitchenAid Superba Flat Top Range - Oven Failure

    Good evening,

I have a problem with my KitchenAid Superba Flat Top Oven that has plagued me for several years now. It started showing an F2:E3 error code - I called in a repairman, and he said (1) we didn't have it grounded properly (we did) and I don't remember what else. Anyway, needless to say $70 later, we had the same problem the day he left. It starts showing the F2:E3 error, and if I press the cancel key enough times, it will show an F2:E0 error code. I can unplug it and plug it back in after about 5 minutes, and it will be fine for a few hours. Then I'll have the error codes again. After 2 years of having to unplug/replug to use my oven, I'm ready to do something about it. This was a very expensive range, and I'd like to fix it. Is this something we can do without having to call in a repairman again?

    Hi,

Here's the tech. data sheet for your model:
    https://www.servicematters.com/docs/...%209754365.pdf
The F2:E3 error code says Keypad Spill:
Key held down too long or keyboard short or spill on
    switch surface.

    Needs surface cleaning:
Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel-wool pads, gritty washcloths
or some paper towels. Damage may occur.
Glass cleaner and soft cloth or sponge:
Apply glass cleaner to soft cloth or sponge, not directly on panel.

Try that first, if it still doesnt fix the problem, then its a stuck key in the control panel and you would need a new control panel assembly.

Here's the cheapest control panel assembly I found for your model:
    Manufacturer's Number: 9782419CW

Thanks! I'll check it out and see if the first fix works. If not, we'll order a control panel.
